The Well Slug is a convenient, fixed volume, cylindrical solid for performing rising or falling head permeability tests (hydraulic conductivity) in conjunction with a data logger.
The slug test is based on instantaneously making the water level in the bore either rise or fall, and then recording the behaviour of the water level versus time as the water returns to its original position.
Enqip’s Well Slugs are designed specifically for 50 mm monitoring wells, but in practice can be used in larger monitoring wells. There are three volume options – 0.5, 1.25 and 1.8 L – that can be chosen to match available well water volumes, or multiple slugs can be used together for greater water displacement.

The FieldSink® Environmental Sampling Station revolutionizes the industry standard of this tried and true groundwater purging and sampling procedure through simple, yet innovative technology. Components can now be consolidated into a single, portable, secure, hands-free, semi-automated sampling station designed to set everyone’s mind at ease, from the environmental field technician to the project manager to the state and federal regulator.
This patented device and method address numerous critical shortcomings associated with current conventional sampling procedures and thereby drastically improve:
The HI9829 is a waterproof portable logging multiparameter meter that monitors up to 14 different water quality parameters. The microprocessor based multi-sensor probe allows for the measurement of key parameters including pH, ORP, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, ammonium, chloride, nitrate, and temperature.
Logs water level instantly or over time. Combines with a Barologger for accurate readings.
